The Oak Point PTO Board is comprised of parent volunteers who oversee all activities and manage the budget of the PTO throughout the school year. The nomination process and vote for Board members takes place each May at the PTO general meeting. The Board meets on a monthly basis and conducts three general PTO meetings during each school year open to all parents, staff and community members. Reading Olympics Athlete Training: February 2018 Reading Olympics Week: February 26 - March 1, 2018 The Olympics are right around the corner in more ways than one. While we cheer on the USA in the Winter Games, we’ll also be competing here at Oak Point in our first ever Reading Olympics! The entire month of February, our reading athletes will be in training, preparing for our Reading Olympics week at school from February 26 to March 1. HOW CAN YOU HELP TRAIN YOUR READING ATHLETE? Beginning in February: See that your reading athlete completes the training events throughout the month that are in the calendar in the information packet. These will help prepare them for the Reading Olympics Week later in the month. Initial within the square once your reading athlete has completed that event. At the end of the month, turn in the completed calendar from the information packet to earn additional points for your team. BUY TICKETS Buy wristbands, game & activity tickets, raffle tickets, and Oak Point cinch backpacks in advance via the Carnival Response Envelope sent home with your Information Packet. Or, purchase all of these items online via our Buy Tickets page. VOLUNTEER It takes nearly 250 volunteers to make our Carnival happen. Please consider signing up for a volunteer slot so that we can keep all of the venues open and operating smoothly throughout the evening. DONATE Every year, we count on donations to help make our Pop Toss, Candy & Munchie Walk, Raffle Baskets, Silent Auction, and Grab It To Go Table happen. Visit our Donations page to learn more on what to donate and how. COME TO CARNIVAL Come to Carnival with your family on Friday, February 2 between 5:30PM - 8:30PM. Have fun while you help raise funds for our students and programs at Oak Point Elementary.

Culver’s will once again be providing food for the Oak Point Carnival. Culver’s is generously donating ALL of the evening’s profits to Oak Point Elementary, so please consider eating dinner at Carnival. The following menu items will be available for purchase during the Carnival: ♦ Hamburgers/Cheeseburgers/Veggie Burgers ♦ Grilled Chicken Sandwich ♦ Chicken Tenders ♦ Salads (limited quantity available) ♦ Cheese Curds ♦ French Fries ♦ Custard Prices for each of these items will range from $3 to $5. Pop and bottled water will be available for purchase for $1 each. Cash and credit cards can be used to purchase food. MEAL DEAL TICKETS The Culver's Meal Deal includes one entrée, french fries, and a drink. The Meal Deal does NOT include custard. The Culver's Meal Deal ticket can be purchased for $6 in advance via the Carnival Response Envelope or the online order form. CUSTARD TICKETS A Culver's Custard ticket allows you to bypass the main food line to get your custard. The Culver's Custard ticket can be purchased in advance for $3 per cup via the Carnival Response Envelope or the online order form.

Donations may be made to Raffle Baskets, the Silent Auction, the Grab It To Go Table, the Candy & Munchie Walk, and the Pop Toss. Please read below to see what donations are being sought, as well as how and when to donate items. Our Drive Up & Drop Off Day for donations is January 16 between 9:05AM-9:45AM in the upper parking lot of Oak Point. Bring any donation you might have for the Carnival. One of our volunteers will take them inside for you - you don’t even have to get out of the car! RAFFLE BASKETS You may contribute new, unopened items for any of the raffle basket themes listed below, or you may make a cash donation via the Carnival Response Envelope or online order form by January 19. 100% of the cash donations received for raffle baskets are used to purchase items for the baskets, or help the PTO purchase larger raffle items such as Beats headphones or American Girl dolls. Item donations may be sent with your student to his/her classroom, dropped off during the Drive Up & Drop Off Day on January 16, or dropped off at the Oak Point Security Desk or Office…

Your Carnival Response Envelope was attached to the information packet that came home with your only or youngest Oak Point student the first week of January. If you did not receive or have misplaced your envelope and/or information packet, additional envelopes and information packets are available in the Oak Point office and Welcome Desk. You may purchase wristbands, tickets, meal deal tickets, custard tickets, Oak Point cinch backpacks, and make donations with your Carnival Response Envelope. You can pay for your order with cash, a check, or credit card. ♦ IF PAYING VIA CASH OR CHECK: Fill out the Carnival Response Envelope with your order quantities and totals, and return your envelope with payment to your child's teacher by January 19. ♦ IF PAYING VIA CREDIT CARD: Place your ticket order online via the Buy Tickets page. Place your order, submit payment, and return your envelope by January 19. Do not fill out order quantities on the envelope; your online order quantities will supersede any quantities entered on the envelope.
